Was it a successful season for Inter? YES

The Italian Serie A adventure this season is wrapped up for Inter, they managed to confirm second place and still have the Coppa Italia to play for.
You can say they are on course for a mini-treble as they already won the Italian Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

Palermo will not give Inter an easy match as they are hungry for some silverware. But saying this Inter are also very hungry for this trophy as it would give coach Leonardo a great base for next season.
Some critics say that Inter had a bad season, but I don't. I am not saying this because I am a fan, but if you look at where they were before December, nobody would believe that they had a chance to even challenge for the title. Finishing second is a great achievement for Leonardo and his team.

Is Leonardo a good choice for next season? yes he is. Every coach needs to be given a chance and I will always say this in all my writings. He deserves the chance after bringing the team together again.
Leonardo showed he can get a team back together on a number of occasions this season, especially after that cursed week when Inter lost the derby and were devastated in the Champions League by Shalke.
We can look at other coaches that succeeded, but we must look deeper when we talk about them. For example Porto manager Villas-Boas won the UEFA Europa cup yesterday evening. This was a great accomplishment from this young coach. But we must see who he worked with in the past. Villas-Boas worked with Mourinho and the late Sir Bobby Robson. Getting experience from two of the best coaches in the sport is the best way to get started.
Now if you look at Leonardo, from a Director being thrown into the hot seat at Milan, he had no chance to learn of other coaches. Yes, we can sat Ancelotti was around, but Leonardo had a job to do as well with Milan.
Considering all the injuries Milan had, he managed to get them to finish third that season. Again with Inter he was given a harder task. He had to get a team literally torn apart from the previous coach and he had a job to at least get them to qualify for the Champions League next season, and he did that.
Winning the Coppa Italia will be a great present for President Moratti and coach Leonardo if Inter manage to do it.
To finish off, I must congratulate Milan for their Scudetto success. BUT I must say this... if Inter did not lose those three or four matches before December, Milan would probably have not won the league.
The World Club championship, Benitez, injuries and fatigue played a major part in Inters downfall this season.
But be prepared Milan as Inter will be back next season with a fresh and fired up team.
Leonardo will now have a whole summer to prepare his team the right way!
Forza Inter!!!
