Inter still -5 after crushing Genoa, the Scudetto race and Galliani

Nagatomo celebrates his first goal for Inter with the rest of the gang

Another exciting weekend in Italian football. Milan defeated a horrible Juventus and Inter crushed Genoa.
Congratulations to Leonardo for his new record.
I was hoping Juventus play with the same determination as they did when they defeated Inter, but it was not to be.
I am not saying that Juventus lost on purpose so Milan win the league but Juventus have so many problems that would be the last thing on their minds.
Inter had the pressure thrown back on their side as they were eight points behind after Milan won the match against Juventus.
The first half against Genoa was horrible as Inter were behind by a goal. But in the second half, it was like we were watching a totally different team. The inclusion of Pandev made a huge difference and it turned Inter into a ruthless attacking machine.
In a matter of time, Inter were leading 5-1. Genoa pulled a goal back in the final seconds due to a lack of concentration from the Inter players.
I really hope Milan slip up somewhere in the final stretch to the end of the season.
Milan have a couple of tricky games still to play. Obviously there is the derby against Inter, They have to play away against Fiorentina and Rome on the Day 32 and 36.  The final day Milan play away against a inform Udinese.
Roma and Udinese are the two teams that can ruin Milan's season if Inter win the derby.
Now Inter have a tricky final run as well. The teams that will surely make Inter work hard are when Inter host Lazio on day 34, Inter-Fiorentina on day 36 and a truly tricky clash away against Napoli.
Who will win the Scudetto?? Milan are slightly in front, but Milan have a lot of tricky matches away against big teams. On the other hand, Inter have tricky games at home and a major match away against Napoli.
Basically both teams have to be in top form, but if Milan slip and especially if they lose the derby or slip at any other match, Inter will surely be there to pounce on them.
Now Galliani!!! what stupid comments from the Milan vice-president. What right does he have to say that Milan won the treble in 2007 when they won the Champions League, Super Cup and World Cup.
He totally rubbished the Coppa Italia and has the nerve to say that Inter did not win a treble.
If Milan are so good why did they not win the Coppa Italia??? All I can say is that it is 2011 and for the last 4 years Milan have not been drinking champagne from a trophy but from their socks.
The Milan vie-president should show some respect, as if they had the chance to win the same silverware as Inter did last season, they would have jumped for the opportunity.
As well, if Galliani was so brilliant, he would not have let go of Leonardo, as he managed to place and aging Milan in the top three after a season full of injuries.
He should look at the example of Inter now, Moratti gave Leonardo the freedom to work and the results are showing.
Everybody who watches and understands football know that if Inter did not fall apart under Benitez, Milan would have had no chance in hell to win the Scudetto. But we cannot look back, we just have to look ahead and enjoy the work of Leonardo and the players.
In my next article I will give my opinion on Bayern.
