Fantastic match with a bitter result

Cambiasso brings the ball down with Schweinsteiger keeping close watch

What a match last Wednesday!!! It was a great spectacle of football from both Inter and Bayern.
I was expecting the match to end in a goalless draw, but Bayern scored the magic goal in the final seconds of the match.

Inter are not out of it yet as it is possible to score against Bayern in the next match. Inter do have a mountain to climb and they must be at their best to eliminate Bayern in the next match in three weeks time.
Saying this, with Bayern having the one away goal, they might go into the match a bit more relaxed, and this can back fire on them.
Inter president Massimo Moratti is backing the team 100% and has stated that he is not dissapointed in the way Inter played, but just in the result.
Inter's goalkeeper Julio Cesar did make a ugly mistake, but this does not mean he is not a great goalkeeper. The Inter players had many opportunities to score but it just did not happen.
Inter must do everything possible to get Milito back in shape for the second leg against Bayern. He should not play in Serie A until that match happens.
Pandev is an option, but he has not been 100% lately and Leonardo is only playing players that are in top form. Saying this, Leonardo could of put Pandev on in the last 15 minutes of the match. But that is in the past now and we must move on.
Moratti was also full of praise for Leonardo saying that he would not have done anything different.
Inter can build from this defeat and the best way to do this is to defeat Sampdoria this weekend.
If Inter win the match, they will put great pressure on Milan and Napoli as they play on Monday.
If Milan and Napoli play to a draw, Inter would profit from this and if Napoli hopefully defeat Milan, Inter will profit from this as well. The best out come would probably be a draw for Milan and Napoli, but personally I would prefer Napoli to defeat them and there is a big chance they will.
Saying all this, Inter must defeat Sampdoria as they are not a team you can just brush aside even though they are going through a rough patch.
A Sampdoria without Pazzini and Cassano is weaker, but the addition of Maccarone still makes them dangerous up front.
Pazzini will surely be in the starting lineup with Eto'o to make a very dangerous attack on Inter's side.
Lets hope for the best this weekend as we could be getting a glimpse of who will be in the final stretch for the Scudetto.
