Stankovic injured as Inter defeat Napoli

Zanetti in action under the watchful eye of coach Leonardo
Inter defeated Napoli 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out to progress to the semi-finals against Juventus or Roma.
Saying Inter were going to win the match would have been a bit exaggerated as they had to go up against a inform Napoli.
Napoli should have won the match easily with the opportunities they had in front of goal.
Great goalkeeping from Inter's Castellazzi was one of the main factors of Inter progressing.
The only real chance Inter had was when a powerful shot by Cambiasso hit the crossbar and bounced back into play.
Both teams showed they were exhausted in extra time, and I agree with Leonardo when he said that the extra time should be abolished and move straight to penalties.
Inter won thanks to a shot over the bar by Napoli's Lavezzi.
Inter have not defeated Napoli since 1997 at the San Paolo.
Leonardo could not hide his delight after Inter won such a difficult match. This is also the first time Inter ended a match without conceding a goal under new coach Leonardo.
The bad news of the evening the was injury to Dejan Stankovic. Considering Stankovic could not walk afterwards is a sign he will be out for a while.
With Stankovic now out and Sneijder still In rehab, it was nice to see Coutinho back on the bench. The faster Coutinho starts to play the better as Inter have most likely lost the services of Muntari, as he is on his way to England.
Today will be a day of excitement as all Inter fans will find out if Pazzini will be wearing the black and blue colours for his next match.
If this does happen, you will be hearing from me for sure!!!
